Relasyon ng DRR at CCA

One of the slides we used in the Participatory Action Research on the Impacts of Climate Change in Coastal La Union. The hazards experienced by the fisherfolk and farmers along rivers and the sea are listed as well as those hazards perceived to be caused by global warming.

The trainings in the five municipalities – Sto Tomas, Agoo, Aringay, Caba and Bauang tackled not only the effects of climate change but also disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation to better prepare the vulnerable sectors to face the bad effects of climate change.

The research validated the scientific projections as felt and experienced by fisherfolk who provided the people-based evidence on the ground.
